Innovative Business Stimulation Award for Butterfly Garden & Health Center! 24-12-2007
On Sunday 23rd of December the Butterfly Garden & Health Center has received a stimulation award, the Innovative Business Stimulation Award, offered by InnovationCenter Curacao. This price was given by Ralph Koch, director of the InnovationCenter. Tourism commissioner Eugene Ruggenaath and CTB representative Dino Daal were also present.
InnovationCenter Curacao started more than 15 years ago, aiming at organizational development of small and middle scale businesses. InnovativeCenter Curacao tries to do this from the entrepreneur’s perspective and strives for mutual business solutions directed at growth and success.
Within the view of the InnovationCenter, the Butterfly Garden is a very good example of a new initiative, taken by a young, local and enthusiastic entrepreneur, Riles Koenraad. With his beautiful intimate garden full of colorful butterflies from Curacao and its region, he offers visitors an original experience. Additionally visitor’s can enjoy healthy local and vegetarian meals.
The price existed of a symbolic award, a gift of Naf. 250,-- and 10 consultancy hours from the InnovationCenter.
Opening Butterfly Garden & Health Center 10-08-2007
On Sunday 9th of September the Butterfly Garden was officially opened by Eugene Ruggenaath (commissioner of Tourism and Economic Development), Marily Alcala-Wallé (commissioner of Culture and Education) and Charles Cooper (member of the Island Parliament ). Different representatives of local tourism organizations, like CTB and CHATA were also present.
Starting monday 10th of September, the Butterfly Garden and Health Center will be open to public daily.
